Looks Can Be Deceiving

Buying a car anytime soon? Many people go out with the intention of getting a car for a really cheap price. Are you really getting what you paid for....( a lemon)? Maybe the approach should be different. Majority of the times it all smiles driving off the lot in your brand new car, till the engine falls out the next day. Then all smiles turn into a lot of crying. Don't buy a lemon... here's my experience.
Having my car wrecked by a friend, I was hasty to by a new one. My Friend had drove me home from choir practice on a Friday night and on my block my neighbor had a 96' Mitsubishi eclipse for sale. From what we could see the car was in great condition and the asking price was reasonable and we were both interested. It wasn't more than 5 minutes later, i was begging my mom to get the car so my friend couldn't have it. I know, what kind of friend am I. So they bought it and I was happy. The next day, I was excited to tell my friend i got the car, boy did she envy me. But as fate would have it, in pay back, the car would turn out to be a piece of junk! In all of less than a year, both door handles broke off, the cap for the windshield wiper popped off and in no time the car wash was my biggest nightmare.
Ready for a party one weekend, I decided that I was going to get my car washed. Fully dolled up, I drive to the local car wash pay my $8.00 and proceeded in. Seconds later, water was seeping from the sunroof, the windows, and the top of the windshield, getting my hair and outfit wet. To top it off when i pulled out, one of the guys tapped my window not for a tip, but to hand me a piece of my door sided. The fancy molding at the bottom. He kindly opened the door and place in the back of my car seat. I was humiliated, I looked a mess, and my car was falling apart. Off course, I stayed home that night.
It was then i learned never to by a car in a rush, or from a neighbor. I started doing some research and i found this website to be quite helpful. www.is-it-a-lemon.com/used_cars/ You can check it out if you like. And to some it up i passed the lemon on, but i definitely gave them the 411.
Im Lundyn signing out......Lemons aren't a tasty treat!

i feel your pain, its so hard to know if a car is a good deal, and i don't necessarily mean the price, i mean just being a reliable form of transportation. unfortunately, its always a gamble, even the new cars. at least you were honest with the info to the next owner. wouldn't it have been nice if your neighbor had done that with you?
