Looks Can Be Deceiving

Buying a car anytime soon? Many people go out with the intention of getting a car for a really cheap price. Are you really getting what you paid for....( a lemon)? Maybe the approach should be different. Majority of the times it all smiles driving off the lot in your brand new car, till the engine falls out the next day. Then all smiles turn into a lot of crying. Don't buy a lemon... here's my experience.
Having my car wrecked by a friend, I was hasty to by a new one. My Friend had drove me home from choir practice on a Friday night and on my block my neighbor had a 96' Mitsubishi eclipse for sale. From what we could see the car was in great condition and the asking price was reasonable and we were both interested. It wasn't more than 5 minutes later, i was begging my mom to get the car so my friend couldn't have it. I know, what kind of friend am I. So they bought it and I was happy. The next day, I was excited to tell my friend i got the car, boy did she envy me. But as fate would have it, in pay back, the car would turn out to be a piece of junk! In all of less than a year, both door handles broke off, the cap for the windshield wiper popped off and in no time the car wash was my biggest nightmare.
Ready for a party one weekend, I decided that I was going to get my car washed. Fully dolled up, I drive to the local car wash pay my $8.00 and proceeded in. Seconds later, water was seeping from the sunroof, the windows, and the top of the windshield, getting my hair and outfit wet. To top it off when i pulled out, one of the guys tapped my window not for a tip, but to hand me a piece of my door sided. The fancy molding at the bottom. He kindly opened the door and place in the back of my car seat. I was humiliated, I looked a mess, and my car was falling apart. Off course, I stayed home that night.
It was then i learned never to by a car in a rush, or from a neighbor. I started doing some research and i found this website to be quite helpful. www.is-it-a-lemon.com/used_cars/ You can check it out if you like. And to some it up i passed the lemon on, but i definitely gave them the 411.

Angry Costumer!

Many people frequent restaurants, expecting good food. What do you feel should be the standard for restaurants? What do you expect, when you got to eat out?
Well it was 6pm on Friday, and I was starving and looking for a great Spanish restaurant to eat at in Yonkers. Being a frequent loyal costumer, I returned to Panchitos which has now turned into a “stadium and bar restaurant.” A couple new faces were there, but the manager was the same. I said hi and ordered my regular. “May I have the baked chicken dark meat with avocado and no rice,” I said. He replied ok, rung me up and the total was 15.00. That’s fine I wasn’t going to dispute price when the quality of food is great.
So I guess you want to know where I’m going with this. Well you see, when I finally reached home in New Rochelle I opened my container to see two pieces of dark meat and the rest white!!!!!!!!! I was angered. How could they do this to me? I clearly said dark meat. So, I said to myself thank God I ordered the 2 meatballs on the side. I began to eat the chicken, and to my surprise my tongue tells me that there is no salt or pepper. What is going on here? Extremely furious, I decided to try the meatballs. Yuck! What….. Minced seafood meatballs. What happened to the regular beef meatballs? Excellent food instantly became trash. My stomach is upside down and I just couldn’t wrap my head around it.
What was I suppose to do….in fury I packed up the trash and drove 20 minutes back to the restaurant to demand my money back. It was totally unacceptable. In this day and age money is tight, and the one thing that puts a smile on my face is good food. Fortunately, the manager apologized taking my complaints into consideration, but personally I don’t think I’ll ever eat there again. It’s on you if you would like to eat there but don’t be surprised after I warned you. What would you have done in my situation? This is one angry customer signing out-----

Are You Fat?

America is one of the richest, most progressive countries in the world. Shouldn't it be one of the healthiest too? Maybe it should, but the sad truth is that Americans are some of the unhealthiest people in the world. Even though we are living in a country with great economic power and technological advancement, we are also living in a country with the smallest fund of practical nutritional knowledge. We are living in a land plagued with obesity.
America is home to the most obese people in the world. And with the very fatal disease of denial, some, excuse me, many people are in denial about the state of their physical health. It was a couple of weeks ago when the health ambassador of my house," my mom" decides she was going to set up a surprise consultation with one of her collegues, a medical weight loss specialist!!! Talk about sneaky.
A gloomy day, we drove to the Bronx, only to be told that I was obese! Outraged, by what I was hearing I thought to myself, how did I get caught up in the statics.......He showed me a couple of pictures that probably could have something to do with this problem. They were are a couple of my favorites I don't know about yours. He carefullu picked names for each of my foods which I found quite humorous which caused me to laugh. But with my mom in my face, she said it was a serious matter.
My first attack, was the picture of what he calls the heart attack cheese fries. So yummy, it was cheese-covered french fries with grilled onions, bacon and beef. Okay, here came my second offense, a picture of Ham and cheese between two bean and cheese quesadillas. Wait a minute, was Dr.Diaz talking to my mom. How did he know all this??? I couldn't say he was wrong so I had to sit there and listened. Last but not least was the the Clogger layers of scalloped potatoes and cheese wrapped in bacon. Oh, boy my mom did me in big time. I wasn't mad after she told me that she loved me and that I needed an intervention. She was concerned, and didn't want me to die due to poor health.
Rats, so what does this mean??? Sitting there the room stood still as my mind began to wonder? Questions like no more chicken quesadillas or kitchen sink pasta made me grow sad. Seconds later to break my concentration my mom kicks me. And I tune in to the doctor saying "moderation, everything in moderation. No more stacking , instead of two have one." With a sigh of relief , I said "I can do that."
So now I'm on a new journey to repair my health with healthy eating habits. Wish me luck America! What do you think? Have you ever been in my shoes? I'd sure like to hear. Well, this is Lundyn signing out----

What's Next?

Waking up at 3am to the sound of the alarm...ode to joy! Not fully coordinated, I rolled out the bed thinking what is going to happen today? who's getting fired? Hmnn.
Isn't that amusing? I wonder how many people wake up and think, is today the dayI get axed? Well for FYI purposes I work at local airport as a Customer Service Rep for a contracting company. Over the course of 3yrs Ive seen more people hired than fired, talk about job security. It seems that they are unstoppable because they get away with a lot. And believe me, their track record beats Marion Jones. They laugh in the face of the union, and full speed ahead they are going for the goal! Maybe, Ms. Jones shouldn't have been the one sent to jail.
Anyway, the issue that has put the nit in my brow is that they are unfair and unjust. They have now that tacked on a new additional title to CSR called "exit door monitor". Yes, sad but true, we are now airport security. I didn't know that CSR now entails security work. Is this word manipulation or what. Since, the employees are not certified nor properly trained they took airbrush and covered it up with a more light descriptive title. What's next folks, janitor work? Excuse me, according to them it will be the "up keepers of the airport." Well I had enough! Its outrageous more work less pay doesn't equally a happy employee.
Everyday all over the world people suffer from injustices on the job. These are just my few grievances, and they are probably nothing compared to others; but id sure like to hear yours.
